Jason and Friends: Season Deux (with all new poop references!)

21 Oct

They call it the sophomore slump. It’s when an awesome rookie season is followed up by a second year that’s about as good as a frozen pie shell filled with dung beetles. Beetles that are currently in possession of a crap ton of dung.

Yep, the sophomore slump can hit anyone, from star baseball players to hit television shows to, yes, even great web-based comedy-tainment like The Jason and Friends Talk Show. So, the world was understandably shaken to its core when it was announced that Jason and Friends would return for season two.

Top Four Concerns of Jason and Friends’ Fans

1. Could Jason and his Friends keep their fans chortling with witty banter?

2. Will Jason and Friends explain to us what the hell chortling is?

3. Will the show’s famously hilarious Web Clip of the Week stave off the urge to turn to hardcore pornography?

4. Can Jason crack McDonald’s secret recipe code and ultimately market his own brand of McRib called the McJason-Delicious-Meat-Based-Cutlet-wich?

It turns out the world can breathe a collective sigh of relief, because the first show of season two is in the books and they landed, quite possibly, the best guest since a loaf of sliced bread appeared on The Tonight Show back in 1977.

The first guest was GeneralTomfoolery.com! Well, not the actual http address, he doesn’t talk much. It was me!

In the first episode of season two we tackle such weighty issues as poop, smelly vintage chairs, picking up infants by their heads, and the only way to truly appreciate the experience of watching Ghostbusters on the big screen… with obscenity-laced cheers.

Enjoy!

Jason & Friends: Episode 15 – Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Batman!

23 May

Once in awhile the stars align, just perfectly. The result is unparalleled bliss. I can think of just a few times in history where this has happened.

  1. Jesus is born, he invents the wheel, rides dinosaurs and is an all around super cool guy.
  2. John Lennon and Paul McCartney meet, The Beatles change music forever.
  3. This one time I order a Hawaiian pizza on a dare, the taste literally blows my pants off. Literally.

Now we can add a fourth instance of perfection to the history books, because the new episode of the Cable Ace Award-winning web comedy show Jason & Friends is here, and if it were a math test it would have scored 105% out of a possible 100%, and shown all its work.

Think I’m overselling it? Probably.

But maybe this will change your mind… this week’s episode contains all three of the basic elements needed to create gold in nature: an interview with the crappiest Batman ever, pictures of strangers who look like idiots at prom and Poison’s number one hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”.

Comedy Gold.

Jason & Friends: Episode 12, Rick Astley and Ray Guns

16 Apr

I don’t know about you, but I like to spend my weekends curled up on the couch in front of the warming glow of my laptop, all while indulging in my Fig Newton and cheap champagne addiction. Say what you will about the perks of British Royalty, but in my opinion, to truly feel like a king, all you need is a little Kmart-brand bubbly and some Nabisco-brand fruit and cake.

For me the weekend is a perfect time to catch up on all the interneting I missed during the week while I was out wasting my time earning a living. Forget going “outside” to do “physical” activities and “socialize” with “people,” just give me a computer, an internet connection and plenty of fresh pa-jammy pants for when I soil myself laughing at random YouTube videos, like clips from the comedic genius of Benny Hill:

Well, he may not be Benny Hill, but I’ve been hearing plenty of good things about this guy named Jason Mumaw and his friends. Sure, most of the good things I have heard have come from Jason, himself. In fact, he pretty much tells me a dozen times a day about how Benny Hill was a hack and how HE is the real deal.

But I tend to agree with him. Mostly because I’ve been helping out with his Screen Actor’s Guild Awarding-winning web show Jason & Friends. If you haven’t seen it yet — YOU’RE A DAMNED COMMUNIST!

Oh my, pardon me.

Anyway, now’s your chance to check out Jason & Friends. This week’s episode features a hilarious look at our elected officials reciting the brilliant lyrics of 80s mega-star Rick Astley, the difference between men and women and actual video of children blasting each other with actual laser guns.

You had me at Rick Astley, Jason. You. Had me. At Rick Astley.

Jason & Friends, Episode 11: Epic Parenting Fails

8 Apr

By now you may have heard, GeneralTomfoolery.com is pitching-in to help with the internationally-acclaimed, Tony-Award-winning online comedy talk show juggernaut, “Jason & Friends”! In the world of online comedy talk shows, ”Jason & Friends” has no equal. Except for the show’s arch rivals, “Evil Jason & Friends”. But I swear those guys made a deal with the devil to get that good. They look downright sketchy.

How did GeneralTomfoolery.com and “Jason & Friends” team up? Well, it’s a story as old as time. Jason and his friends were roaming back alleys looking for tossed away comedy bits, when they came upon a soiled and tough-talking ruffian named GeneralTomfoolery.com. He was rough around the edges, but Jason and his friends took in this leather jacket-clad, menthol cigarette-smoking hoodlum.

Fast forward to present day and GeneralTomfoolery.com is helping out with writing on the show and most-recently appeared in the open of the latest episode. And you can watch it right here. Be sure to stick around for the entire show to check out some epic parenting fails and a contest where you can win an actual mug from the actual “Jason & Friends” show. (Actual retail value: $12,000.)

Jason & Friends: Episode 10

30 Mar

A new episode of the award-winning online comedy talk show Jason & Friends is hot off the presses (that’s part of what makes it so amazing, it’s made on a press!) and now it’s here for your viewing pleasure.

And guess what… now GeneralTomfoolery.com is pitching-in to help out Jason and his friends with some sub-par gags (but in actuality, we’re bringing down the show from the inside *wink*).

So, check it out. This week’s episode is chock-full of steamy comedy including absurd, little known NCAA team mascots and an attempted interview with Notre Dame star wide receiver, and resident drunk, Michael Floyd.

And, oh yeah, sportscaster and renaissance man-extraordinaire Chuck Freeby with a dramatic reading of YouTube sensation Rebecca Black’s song “Friday”.

Standby to chortle and guffaw in 3… 2… 1…

Going Viral with the Help of “Jason & Friends”

16 Mar

After a companywide meeting here at the GeneralTomfoolery.com’s worldwide headquarters at the mouth of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, it’s been decided that the web site should finally “go viral.” Originally, we were afraid of too much success too quickly, but then Mr. Gramshanks, the official General Tomfoolery custodian, said something that made us all stop and think about what’s really important in life.

He said, “You stupid kids! Quit throwing your 7-11 Big Bite Hot Dog wrappers at me! I think I’m having chest pains!”

I think we all knew what he really meant by that. He meant, “It’s time to go viral, kids. It’s time to go viral.”

Thanks for the wake-up call, Mr. Gramshanks. It meant a lot. Also, sorry you died later that day.

Anyway, we’re going viral. Now that we’ve told you, it’s all in your hands to upload this web site to seven million people. And…. go.

Did you do it yet? Awwww, c’mon! We’ll be your best friend.

Okay, maybe it’s not that easy. I guess we’ll start smaller.

How about a guest spot on the internationally-acclaimed online talk show Jason & Friends? What a smashing idea!

Jason Eric Mumaw was kind enough to invite me on his show recently and it debuted online this week. It was a ton of fun and I can’t wait to go back. Jason and his faithful compadre Kelsy Zumbrum host this weekly online comedy/entertainment/talk show, and you’d be a fool not to check it out. You don’t want to be a fool, do you? Do you?!

So, watch the newest episode of Jason & Friends featuring GeneralTomfoolery.com right here!
